Hello fellow KnK-ers!
I have a fun project for you today, I have Crown for your little Prince and a Tiara for your little Princess. These are great to use as party hats or they could be for just playing dress up. The great thing about having a Zing is being able to personalise everything so you can adjust the size of the Cut File to make a Crown or Tiara to fit your little ones perfectly 🙂
These are the Materials I used:
- My wonderful Zing
- Make the Cut Software
- Mirror Cardstock
- Double Sided Tape
- Sparkles
These are the Zing Settings I used:
- Blade = Standard
- Blade Height = 25 post-it notes
- Offset = 0.30
- Speed = 10
- Force = 100
- Passes = 1
Crown Assembly:
Pic 1. To make the Crown you will need 2 of each of the pieces within the Cut File, one for the front and one for the back, as shown below:
Pic 2. To add some detail, I turned the smaller pieces over and scored from the reverse of the card, I added 2 lines either side of the rows of holes:
Pic 3. Once embossed, I taped the smaller pieces along the bottom of larger Crown shapes taking care not to cover the slits the tabs will need to go through:
Pic 4. Now you can tuck the tabs into the slits to form the Crown, tuck them in from the front so the tabs remain inside. You can secure the tabs inside if you wish:
Pic 5. Here’s how your Crown looks once it’s assembled:
Pic 6. I couldn’t help adding some Sparkles to my Crown but you could use Gems, Sequins, Glitter etc:
Tiara Assembly
Pic 1. All of the pieces you will need for the front and back of the Tiara are within the Cut File, there is no need to duplicate any this time:
Pic 2. Using more of the tape, I adhered the smaller strips to the Tiara front and the back band (again avoiding the tab slits):
Pic 3. Tucking the tabs into the slits gives you a Tiara which looks like this:
Pic 4. Of course you don’t have to add any bling but I dare you to resist 😉 This is how I finished mine:
I hope you enjoyed today’s project, If you would like to see more projects I have created with my Zing and access my free cut files you can find my blog here: www.birdscards.com
