I had some small extra pieces of Iron on vinyl that I had put away thinking that I could use them to make something. I bought a black T-shirt but I thought it was too plain and I wanted to make it look different. I quickly thought about my extra pieces of Iron on material that I almost threw away. But I knew that I could not just throw those small pieces away because I have a machine that I can use to cut them and make something else beautiful. So this was what I did.
Materials:
Settings (Groove-e):
To cut the Premium DecoFlock material:
- Blue Cap Blade
- F = 20
- V = 150
- p = 1
To cut the DecoSPARKLE Material:
- red Cap Blade
- F = 20
- V = 150
- p = 1
To cut ThermoFlex Plus material:
- red Cap Blade
- F =15
- V = 150
- p = 1
Steps:
- I choose two files from the software Make-the-Cut
- I cut the pieces using the respective colors to form the flower, the leaves and my bird. The bird and the leaves were cut using the Premium DecoFlock. This material provides the 3- dimensional look and feel of soft velvet.
- Once I cut all the pieces, I placed them on the shirt as I show on the picture
- Then, I used a heat press machine to attached the vinyl to my T-Shirt
- Finally, I used a dimensional paint to paint a little bit underneath the bird so he doesn’t look like he’s in the air.
Very cute…I too save the scraps. :O)
Cute, cute, cute!
