Some of you may remember my posts about the “Swim Team”. My kids go swimming 3 days a week. On Fridays there is a group of ladies who swim at the same time. Most are in their 80’s. Mind you, none of them swim. :O) They walk in the warm pool and visit. My husband refers to them as the Swim Team. A couple of times a year I make batches of cards and give about a half-dozen cards to each of the Swim Team members, my mom, and a few other older friends. They love them! They love to send cards but it is harder for them to shop for cards and the price of a card astounds them. So because I am making close to 100 cards some of them need to be fairly simple. And my mom, who will be 90 in March tells me she needs sympathy cards “in bulk”. :O) Just using a stack of 4×6 paper and one simple vinyl design allowed me to whip these cards up in no time. Here is the file for “With Sympathy” with sympathy team knk

And last but not least, a childhood friend was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. The good news is that it was found early and the prognosis is good. I had made this card a while back so I don’t remember what font was used but I do remember that I cut it from a black leather looking contact paper. It has such great texture, I love how it looks. Still sub-zero here with another round of -30+ windchill coming our way, the perfect time to stay inside and keep my KNK warm.
Very nice! Thanks for showing us
Your cards are awesome. Quite elegant and not so in your face at a time like that. I love it and how sweet of you to share with the ladies that can’t do stuff like this anymore or can’t afford so. So often our elderly are forgotten and this makes for a happy start to my day. Thank you.
Thank you for the cut file. I send angel cards and many are condolences. I will use this.
These are very nice. And it reminded me that I need to make myself a batch of these cards and of Thank Notes!
Lovely cards. It is so wonderful of you to share your talents!
I need a sympathy card
Having received several of Nancy’s cards, I can tell you that using wall vinyl is such an excellent idea when you’re cutting small detail. The wall vinyl has a nice matte finish and because it’s vinyl, the cutting is SO clean! Her cards always look perfect! Thanks, Nancy for your post today!
Nancy your project looks very fancy and elegant. I love it.
