Spider-Man birthday card and gift wrap

My daughter was invited to one of her best friend’s birthday party and he wanted Spider-Man presents.  I am one of those cheesy moms that likes to coordinate cards with gifts if at all possible.  So I went searching on the web for a cute little Spider-Man and a related saying for the front of my card.  My daughter then decided we should have Spider-Man gift wrap too.  I might be rubbing off on her a little bit.   I knew we had plain red paper from previous Christmases and I could cut out some spider webs for a Spider-man theme.         img_6008

Materials:

Settings:

Cardstock-

  • Offset:  .25
  • Speed:  10/10
  • Blade Height:  25 post-its

Vinyl-

  • Force:  15

  • Speed:  10/10
  • Blade Height:  25 post-its

Steps:

  1. I designed both the card and the wrapping paper decals.  The Spider-Man for the card I found online but the web and the Spider-Man for the wrapping paper was found in the Make The Cut gallery.
  2. I cut out all pieces from the cardstock and assembled them immediately so I didn’t loose the small pieces on my black hole of a craft table.          img_6007
  3. For the wrapping paper I wrapped the gifts first then I put the decals on using tweezers so I could ensure that they were visible.  (Transfer paper and wrapping paper are NOT friendly.)         spider man paper
