Share the Luck of the Irish

Shamrock Card Open Shamrock Card Closed

It’s the time to share the luck of the Irish with a little green…card, that is! Something different and fun to make and send. This card has a “drop down” card that secures snuggly under a lucky green clover. The card measures just under 7 inches at it’s widest and 5.25 inches when closed to 6.50 inches when opened. I used the pen holder and a gold glitter pen to draw in the frame and clover. I added a sparkle to the card by using glitter glue to highlilght the gold coins and the green clover. The green clover “clasp” is a separate cut that is glued on the card. You can use anything you’d like to embellish your lucky card. My awesome KNK Maxx did the job. I programmed the force to 90 and speed at 350 with two passes for cardstock. There are 3 easy steps. First, draw in the frame and clover, then score the card and third click on cut and a way we go! You’ll be done just in time to go out and chase rainbows! Happy St. Patty’s Day!

  1. Very nice! And a good reminder that I need to send my grandkids a little “green” for St. Patrick’s Day. This would be a nice card to tuck it into!

  2. Interesting card and the gold glitter really pops it. I need to get my St. Paddy’s
Day cards started. Thanks for the inspiration.

  3. Great idea! Love the mix of gold coins and shamrocks. I’m still having trouble with the difference in using the pen and then cutting. Any tips?

  4. What a clever idea to make a drop down card. The cuts and overall design are great!
Thank you for the lovely idea.
