Notepad Decoration

As you already know my KNK machine is very important to me. I have to admit that at the beginning it was not easy, but I trusted Sandy when she said “I am going to teach you to love your KNK” and Sandy trusted me. She drove me step by step and today I can’t go one day without my KNK Groove-e. Right Chad? LOL

Ok, let’s start with my project. This is a beautiful notepad that every girl would love to have and it is really simple to make. I used my WONDERFUL KNK Groove-e, a notepad, fun foam of different colors, glue and markers.

(1) First thing I did was measure the area where I wanted to place the decoration. This measurement let me know the size that I needed to make my overall image.

(2) Then I cut all of the individual shapes in different colors of fun foam.

(3) After cutting, I colored the borders of the pieces with markers.

(4) Next, I glued them onto the notebook.

(5) Lastly, I embellished the notebook with ribbon and glitter (because I love glitter and I use it for almost all my projects!)

  1. The decorations for this notebook are just as cute as they can be. I know lots of little girls who would love to have this. Another great project. Thanks for sharing.

  2. That new grandbaby of yours will be journaling before you know it and I’m sure you will be ready with cute notebooks, I do have one question: Do you hand paint the eyes on figures that you cut from fun foam? I especially appreciate the eyes on your characters.

    • Thank you Lynn. Yes, I hand painted the eyes and it is really easy. Just draw like and egg shape or oval, divide it into three parts and paint one part black, the other part with the color you want the eyes and the last one white. To the part that you paint black (that would be the center of the eye) add a white dot to simulate light. And you finish your eye.

Other thing that you cand do is, To paint an oval completely black and put two little white dots.

I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

  3. Wow cool! Another great use for funfoam, which I’d have never thought of 😀 Thanks, Omayra!

  4. What a cute way to alter a notebook! I like that the flower pedals are right behind the girls head…makes here look like the center of the flower! LOL 🙂

  5. you need to get a sponsorship from the manufacturers of funfoam girl!!! you are the Queen!
