Sympathy Card from paper and vinyl

I have fallen in love with making cards from paper and vinyl. I have never been a fan of stamping, maybe because I am not good at it. And I wasn’t a fan of gluing words to a card. So this is perfect! I really like cordinations textured paper and oracal vinyl. The oracal vinyl is available at The font used is Robo Passion Conflict but unfortunately it is no longer available as a free font. Aquarelle is almost identical and  can be found here The filigree was from and is available in their dollar download section. Both the black mat and the vinyl words and filigree were cut using my Klic n Kut Maxx. This card was very easy to make and I think looks very elegant.

  1. The card is very elegant and very appropriate. I’m always amazed at how perfect the wall vinyl looks on your cards. It’s so much better than cutting cardstock for intricate designs…perfectly cut letters and flourishes with a beautiful matte finish.

  2. I really need to use some vinyl on my next card project! It looks great. Thanks for sharing, Nancy!

  3. I think you could use the filigree with a thanksgiving type card and highlight the top with some markers to look a little like a pumpkin. It lends itself. Yeah. very nice.

    • Thanks for all of the nice responses. It is so much fun to have a KNK and to be able to create things with it.

  4. Great job, Nancy. I agree that using vinyl on cards is much nicer than glueing little letters in place and having letters uneven, glue showing through, etc. I love the fancy font, but the simplicity of the card. THanks for the heads up on the font, too.

    • Nancy, I LOVE THIS CARD!! For sure I will be making this card. My stash of cards is getting low and I expecially need some sympathy cards. Thank you so much for sharing!

  5. Nancy, what a perfect complement your font choice is with the swirl design. Together they really make an elegant statment. Thanks for the files. I’m sure I will be making some cards like this.

  6. Love this. I had never thought about the vinyl on the cards…but love the idea. I really like working with vinyl too. Thanks for the idea.
