first in an occasional series on making 3 dimensional fabric flowers…
There was a beautiful handmade blouse. A suitable skirt was found for it. Some socks were made to match. The pink glitter high tops worked well. But there was a big problem. There was no hair pretty that matched. And if there is no hair pretty, well, we don’t have an outfit we can wear.
Did you ever have a kid? A little kid? And were they very picky about what they would wear and would not wear? Did they go through the phase that everything had to accessorize with everything else or NOTHING got worn? Humm, did that kid grow up into an adult and never outgrow the accessorizing phase? No worries! We are going to accessorize!!
KnK to the rescue.
This bunch of sweet violets is cut from wool felt using a fabric blade at 65 pressure and 2 passes. You can learn how to design the bouquet and learn how to make one yourself by watching this video:

If you have leftover violets, you can use them to decorate many things, like these pony elastics.
Get going with the accessories! Do it quick before they outgrow that outfit!
Cute hair band and great video Elizabeth. Thanks for the tip about using 100% wool.
Great post! lol “KNK to the rescue” I love it 😛
So cute! Love the Packer colors on the heart!
Cute idea!
Elizabeth, those are incredible! And thank you for making yet another detailed video to show ALL of the necessary steps. I had no idea about the difference between 100% wool felt and polyfelt with regards to how they would cut. That’s a tip I’ll add to the next KNK User Manual. Thank you!
Oh so cute. I have just got a KNK(older one) and am learning to use it yours is the first video I have watched on the software I learned so much. I am wanting to cut suede flowers and use them on a purse something like you did by stacking them so this video was very informing to me. Is there a list someone has combined a bunch of different videos to learn this software all in the same place? There is so much to learn this is fun.
Thank you for your video

Great Project Elizabeth!!!
Elizabeth, this is a great project using a medium that I have not explored. Thanks for all the how-to’s explained in the video and information on how the different products respond to cutting. Your thoroughness in explaining a posted project is very much appreciated.
