I’m very excited. My daughter is graduating from high school next month. She was accepted into many colleges, but ended up taking the one 15 minutes from home because she was accepted into a nursing program where after four years she will have her degree AND be ready to take the nursing exams. So I’m super excited for her.
I found this website with this cute little centerpiece and I knew I wanted to make one:
The colors of her school are green and gold so I used green paper and lined it with glittery gold washi tape. I used gold (okay it was yellow) tissue paper for the inside.
Super easy to make and her directions are fantastic.
I opted not to use the paper tassel and instead made one with gold embroidery thread.
It’s neat at night with a battery operated tea light inside:
I used my Zing for the project.
Today I also noticed that the lovesvg site I love to use has some great graduation and baseball images that they recently posted so I will definitely do something with those.
Thanks for reading!
gold washi tape (apparently this stuff gets old because it didn’t want to stick.)

I know, I’ve used this site a million times. But it’s free! And the files cut beautifully.
So I bought some of those 8×8 canvases at Michael’s and knew I wanted to decorate them. I found the perfect saying for me and fired up good old Maxx and had this done in about ten minutes. Which was good, because I was hurrying to get done before I lost my light to take pictures. I was actually going to give this as a gift, but now I sort of want to keep it since I DO speak fluent sarcasm, in case you haven’t noticed.

You know, I don’t think I’ve changed any settings in the past year on my Maxx. I just use it for vinyl and it cuts perfectly every time.
Those fur babies in our life are important too. My friend’s dog recently passed away unexpectedly and I needed a quick card to send.
This site had the cutest paw prints with hearts in it, so I had an idea for a great card…
Only, I didn’t like the way it looked with the paws so I decided to use the reverse to reflect the paws that weren’t there anymore.
I didn’t do it yet, but I think I’m going to glue the paws with the hearts on the inside of the card. Haha, I just realized I was going to do that as I was typing this up.
This card isn’t warped like it appears to be in the picture. The With Sympathy is a die. Which can be annoying because if you cut the text out with your KNK. you can resize it or use different fonts. I would’ve used my Maxx and cut it out in black vinyl since the letters were so fine. It is much easier for me to use vinyl rather than paper. But I needed something really fast so I went with this, because the ONLY drawback to vinyl is you have to weed and mask it.
Canson Watercolor paper (for card base! That stuff is thick and works great!)

Last month I made a card out of a panda I modified. At work, we had a secret cupid and I knew I wanted to do something with that panda again. So I sized it up and made a panda shape card.
The person I was secretly giving gifts for figured out it was me.
She said that she heard I was the one who “made cute cards.” So I guess I outed myself.
I stamped some envelopes to match.
It was a lot of fun and even though she figured out it was me, it was worth it.
Machine Used: Zing
Materials: Michaels Recollection paper.
At the school I work at, one of our sayings, since the Panda is our mascot, is that we are pandas with heart. I found a cute stamp set at the swap meet and had been wanting to make a Panda-piecing card for awhile. A few months back, I did a print and cut, but I wanted to do paper-pieced one.
I found this cute little dude at this site
And I found this bamboo at this site
But I didn’t want the hat. It was cute… but I wanted him to be plain, so I imported into Inkscape
I deleted the hat (even though it was cute), but I was left with a squashed face, so I easily stretched the head until I had this:
I pieced it all together and ended up with this:
On the inside, I stamped the saying from my new stamp set:
Zing (red blade, 10/10,)
Cardstock (colormates) and Michael’s Recollection
