I’ve been busy in my laboratory (a.k.a. craft studio) creating Halloween files for a Spooktacular week of giveaways! Core’dinations and Team KNK are teamed up to celebrate the coming holiday with you.

The Halloween files I created specifically for use with Core’dinations card stock available in AI, GSD, KNK, MTC, SVG, and WPC.

Core’dinations – Black Magic card stock

Team KNK- $50 KNK USA gift certificate

Cuttin’ Up Designs – $20 gift certificate to my part of the store at VDBC

What you need to do:

Post a comment on Team KNK and post a comment to the Team KNK Halloween images on Core’dinations’ blog – that’s it. Pretty simple, eh? After the hectic week of Homecoming, I need simple!  We’ll match up those comments on Friday and post the winners next Monday!

The newest, and final, file for the week is this dragon’s eye.  I love how it looks with the light shining through it – this one is destined for my front door.

While this can easily be done with Core’dinations Black Magic paper, I decided to use a different Core’dinations today.  It’s actually blue on blue, but used with a backlight no one could ever tell…

I used a Copic marker on the iris in this photo.

I left scraps on the design rather than peeling everything off to give this one a ‘rough’ look. I also peeled this design in reverse:

I ‘scratched; the iris with my paper piercing tool in this photo.

I just love, love, love these blues!  Altogether it reminds me of Saphira from the Eragon series!

Sorry, the free file is no longer available.

About Cuttin' with KNK (Michele)

I am the proud mother of 2 grown children, waiting for grandchildren some day. I've been married to my best friend since 1988. I have been crafting since I was a girl - I can't even remember a time when I wasn't creating something, and I've tried nearly everything. I discovered KNK in 2009 and have loved the company and its products ever since. The machines are so versatile and enhance my own creativity. It is rare that I make something without my KNKs.

  1. Man this thing is weird. I could get the Halloween but this eyeball is out there. Thank you so much for sharing this tech.

  2. I love all your designs! Just need to get up the nerve to try them on the paper. I am going to use the Reaper in vinyl on a glass block. My DD has a scared Halloween party every year. Thanks for teaching us this great technique and giving us the wonderful files.

  3. That eye is so well done, it gives me the heebie-jeebies and I’m all a shiver. Excellent work.

  4. My thoughts exactly on the blue dragon eye–love that series of books!
I think this just may be my favorite cut file.

  5. Thanks to everyone for all the great comments, support, ideas from this week’s Halloween Core’dination projects. I can’t wait to learn who the winners are on Monday!!!! Good luck to all!

  6. This is so cool. I love thinking outside the box…..this is one of those times. How coil would this be in lantern form?
