Spring Birthdays

Hi There fellow KnK-ers!

There are lots of Birthdays in my Family at this time of year so today I have made a Spring Flower card. I turned my card into a Birthday card but with a change of sentiment I think it could be suitable for many other occasions. Cutting the Latticed Daffodil was a breeze as I used CutMates Cardstock, it really is second to none when it comes to more intricate cuts. The Cut File is available at the end of this post 🙂

These are the Materials I used:

These are the Zing Settings I used:

  • Blade = Standard
  • Blade Height = 25 post-it notes
  • Offset = 0.30
  • Speed = 10
  • Force =  100
  • Passes = 1

Pic 1. Below are the 3 layers you will find within the Cut File, I cut my card base and card front layer from Smooth and Silky Card then cut my lattice detail layer from Cutmates Card:

Pic 2. I first adhered the larger layer directly onto my Card Base with double-sided tape:

Pic 3. Next, I adhered the detail layer with some wet glue to give me some time to wiggle it into perfect placement:

Pic 4. I cut a simple banner shape then I picked a font from my computer to cut and use as my sentiment. I popped some 3d foam pads behind the ends of the banner to give my card some dimension and with that my card was finished:
