As you probably know from pasts Team KNK posts, I am a glitter girl – although I don’t ever want to leave evidence of my sparkle everywhere I go! Pressure Sensitive Glitter Flex Ultra is a fabulous new product that gives you the same sparkling beauty as the iron-on version – which we’ve featured several times on Team KNK – in a new press-on vinyl solution! And it won’t leave a Hansel & Gretel trail of glitter behind you!
Here are the colors I ordered (I simply couldn’t narrow it down any more than this – lol).
There are 41 fantastic colors to choose from, with this vinyl’s stunning color and sparkle visible both on the adhesive side and the outer surface (except for neon and rainbow colors which have a white backing for opacity). Pressure Sensitive Glitter Flex Ultra gets its significant sparkle from real glitter flakes encased in polyurethane.
Pressure Sensitive Glitter Flex Ultra can be applied to most clean, dry, hard surfaces. This includes metal, wood, glass, ceramic, acrylic, etc. It is not recommended for projects that will get regular washing or will be constantly in direct sunlight. However, if you wish to apply it to a drinking glass, for example, just be sure to gently hand wash the vinyl and will last for a long time.
Instead of using traditional paper or plastic vinyl transfer tapes, which will not stick very well, use rhinestone transfer tape to pick up and apply this vinyl. Use the same process you would for normal vinyl; pick up the vinyl with the transfer tape, apply with a squeegee, then slowly peel the liner off of the decal.
Store this product flat (I unrolled it and stored it with my other vinyl sheets), away from direct sunlight. Direct sunlight will cause the glitter to fade.
Cut this product with your thick material blade. You do not need to reverse image the design unless you are applying lettering to the inside of a window, and want it to be readable from the outside. On the Maxx Air I cut the vinyl easily at a force of 60 with a velocity of 250.
Please stop back on Friday the 6th to see my project using Pressure Sensitive Glitter Flex Ultra – where I will reveal two other great features of this product that I discovered while making my project. You won’t get these tips anywhere else!
