It’s not a Hallmark

Hallmark has wonderful cards, but they don’t personalize the cards the way we can. A friend of ours had a massive stroke right after Christmas. He loves to golf and ride motorcycle, things that are encouraging him to work very hard at his rehab. Shortly after his stroke he celebrated a birthday and a card popped into my head. Dick has a good sense of humor but I decided to “run the card past my husband” before sending it to make sure he thought it would be okay.

Materials

Paper

Vinyl

Settings

15″ KNK Maxx

red capped blade

Force 35

Speed 400

It was as simple as cutting the vinyl and applying it to cardstock.  Dick loved the card, when he moved from the hospital to a rehab center he took it with him and has it on display.

    • He has a long road to recovery Carol. He had 6 weeks of intense therapy in the hospital and is now at a rehab facility. He is relearning to walk, no use of his left arm, but he is alive and slowly improving.
