baseball love

File Jul 14, 7 56 53 PM

It’s July. Little League is winding down, but MLB is still going strong. My son plays on a travel ball team and while they aren’t currently doing tournaments, he still practices a few times a week. I saw a shirt on Facebook that had the word love with the ball as the o and bats as a v. I thought, I could easily do that in Make the Cut. So I did. Except I made the o a heart and just put some baseball seams in it.

A tip you probably already know: Whenever you have to layer more than one color in vinyl, it helps to cut the whole thing in one color and then use transfer tape to transfer the other colors to the design. For example, I cut this all in black and then took everything that wasn’t supposed to be black off the vinyl and used transfer tape to put the red in the right spot and then layered the white on top of the red. I didn’t do so great layering the heart, but it was close enough.

vinyl: red, black and white

6″ cork circle… I think I bought them at dollar tree. Not sure, I’ve had them for awhile.

The file isn’t perfect, but it’s free, so feel free to modify it to suit your needs. When I have more time, I want to play with the seams a little more on the heart.
